Golf Cart Tires
By most of the people the necessity of the golf cart tires may never be felt except for the minority that its very important to move from one teeing off point to another teeing off point they are a concern. Unless or until the golfers purchase their own carts they won’t realize or they won’t necessarily purchase the golf cart tires. This happens in most of the cases. As they are fitted with tires when they are being purchased they forget to think that the tires may get worn out after some stipulated time.
The golf cart tire’s responsibility mostly falls on the head of golf clubs and course owners. By keeping the size variation as a parameter they can be easily distinguished from other types of tires. Most often they are a bit smaller than other regular vehicle tires. While making a choice of tires buyers may choose from a wide range of tire thread and width. If people want their golf carts to be driven of varying terrain within a golf course then the special threads becomes the important parameter which concentration should be dealt upon. If incase the golf tires seem to have lumps or irregular swelling, then they give a warning that the tire is being worn out due to wear and weakness. Even after this warning if the tire is not treated then golf cart tires may blow apart suddenly without any warning which will end things in tragedy.
There is one common way by which the golf cart tire can be checked whether its worn out or not. Its called as penny test. If the coin happens to move deeper into the tire grooves then it means that the wear is much larger. By doing this test on different parts of golf cart will give a brief idea about the condition of tire. We can follow this simply test to avoid problem. If the tire shows up with irregular bulges on its sidewalls then it can be taken as a clear indication of the internal tire damage. There will be situations like snow or rain where the weather will become bad so that the golf action will be suspended. At such times golf carts will not be in use. This situation may even continue for months together. When the weather is good again ie when season is is back at that time its important that these tires are being made a check thoroughly.
As golf cart doesn’t experience a heavy load it doesn’t mean that the vehicle won’t loose its pressure. So the pressure of the golf carts need to be checked at the regular intervals the reason is being that even a slight temperature may make the pressure alter its value. There is a device called tire pressure meter. With the help of this instrument the golf cart tire can be refilled to its specified pressure as said by manufacturer.
